Introduction to Team: Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction. The Inspire and Plan team which sits within our Product & Technology division, owns our homepage, landing, navigation, app growth, and trip‑planning experiences, showcasing Expedia Group’s travel offerings. Through brand‑differentiated, personalized, and contextual journeys we help travelers plan their perfect trip with confidence while maximizing marketing efficiencies and traffic acquisition performance. In this role, you will: Design, implement, and maintain highly available, performant services and applications leveraging agentic AI capabilities to solve complex traveler and partner problems. Develop clean, testable, and maintainable code across the stack, including robust system design (low-level design), API design, and data modeling aligned with Expedia Group engineering standards. Integrate AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows into production services, including safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes for customers and internal users. Collaborate with product, applied science, and platform teams to translate business and AI/ML requirements into scalable technical solutions, contributing to technical design reviews and architecture discussions. Instrument services with monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure reliability, observability, and operational excellence, participating in on-call or incident response as needed. Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to enable fungibility across multiple domains and services within the broader platform.
