About The Position

IMDb seeks a customer-obsessed Full Stack Software Development Engineer to join the AI Data Insights team building products to help professionals understand trends and identify opportunities, help advertisers optimize campaigns and drive revenue, and create new data products to effectively deliver solutions for AI use cases. IMDb is the world's most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities. Hundreds of millions of customers worldwide rely on IMDb to discover what to watch, advance their entertainment careers through IMDbPro, and grow their businesses using IMDb data and insights. IMDb operates at the intersection of entertainment, media, and technology within Amazon.com. In this role you will partner closely with Business Intelligence, Licensing, IMDb Pro, User Research and Advertising to understand customer needs and translate business requirements into meaningful technical experiments and solutions. You’ll work across front-end interfaces, back-end services, and data layers with a strong bias for action and be excited about prototyping and delivery at speed. You are a builder who is curious and comfortable with ambiguity and uses GenAI tools to help accelerate your work. About the team IMDb's AI Data Products is a single-threaded two-pizza team located in Seattle and Bristol focused on new initiatives that deliver incremental value from IMDb data. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Prototype, validate, and build new data products that drive incremental revenue from IMDb's entertainment data assets
  • Build dashboards, visualizations, and other experiences that translate data into actionable insights for professionals and advertisers
  • Optimize performance and user experience based on customer feedback and usage analytics
  • Be comfortable working in front-end systems such as React, Next.js, JSP, and Freemarker and back-end systems such as GraphQL, and AWS Infrastructure
  • Stay current with GenAI tools and AI/ML integration patterns to enhance product capabilities and customer value
