About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been leading the world into the cloud computing era since its inception in 2006. The AWS Partner Network (APN) is a vital ecosystem of tens of thousands of consulting and technology partners, promoting AWS globally. The AWS Partner Systems team is responsible for supporting Partner Sales, the APN, and other elements driving the AWS partner ecosystem, serving partners, customers, and internal users. This role is within AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which drives revenue, adoption, and growth across various customer segments. The team values work-life balance and offers a flexible schedule. The position involves building secured, highly available, performant, and scalable systems, web services, products, and integrations between cloud and on-prem applications to support AWS' current and future growth. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, self-driven, and will work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with high volumes of data and complex business contexts. They will design and develop services processing millions of transactions in a secured environment, leveraging practical experience in building high-performance, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with asynchronous workflow
  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Own significant portions of the product
