Introduction to the team We are the Acquisition Marketing & Growth (AMG) team that plays a key role in shaping the first impressions of millions of travelers entering our ecosystem. We’re looking for a motivated, curious, and creative thinker to help us build and elevate the upper-funnel landing experience for customers. As an integral member of the AMG team, you'll design and implement engaging entry points for users coming through a range of channels—including direct traffic, paid advertising, organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), and social platforms. Our goal is to craft a contextual and personalized experience that draws customers in and supports them as they explore and find the perfect travel options within the Expedia ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on software development experience, ideally in large-scale or enterprise environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry
  • Experience designing and implementing features based on known design principles and coding standards
  • Knowledge in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Javascript/Typescript, or React.js
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing with frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Cypress, or Selenium

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud architecture and platforms like AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions
  • Experience building and consuming GraphQL/RESTful services
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of features for the traveler experience across all of EG brands’ Landing Pages
  • Be responsible for implementing code that adhere to high-quality standards and utilize recommended best-practices
  • Learn and apply basic automation, monitoring, and logging practices to your everyday tasks
  • Understand your team’s goals, and embrace a shared, collaborative mode of working
  • Suggest improvements to existing code, technologies, and tools.
  • Communicate risk and impacts within your scope of work
  • Participate in communities of practice that align with your chosen technology stack
  • Actively seek feedback from your team, and improve software usability and quality
