Job Overview - The Amazon Robotics software team is developing a complex material handling service oriented software system for deployment across a network of large-scale Amazon Order Fulfillment Centers. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience developing object-oriented software and/or automation frameworks and automated tests, possess good communication skills, and enjoy problem solving both independently and in team settings. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in everything from design to delivery of tools to support the platform and design of Amazon robotic fulfillment operations. As a software development engineer, you will be accountable for driving the technical direction of a complex software system. You will be working with a cross-functional team to prototype, design, and develop software solutions that span local, service oriented and cloud-based systems.
