Introduction to Team Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction. This Software Development Engineer II position will be part of the DevEx AI Agents Marketplace team. This team is responsible for building a set of autonomous AI Agents to improve Developer Experience across EG. This is an open marketplace to enable platform use-cases and allow teams to use and build their own custom agents to solve broad development problems. This will be a high impact technical leadership role, defining tech strategy, while also being deeply hands on in building out the AI Agents experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience driving the end-to-end technical design of multiple complex, multi-quarter projects.
• Experience in programming language such as Java, Kotlin, or similar programing language
• Experience using code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
• Experience in cloud based technologies such as AWS

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with AI Agents
• Knowledge of AI/ML
• Prior experience working with platform engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools.
• Write automated unit, integration and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines
• Support and troubleshoot data and/or system issues as needed
• Provide improvements to solutions for a given problem
• Define, develop and maintain artifacts like technical design or business partner documentation
• Resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, follow through on details, and drive issues to closure with help from your peers.
• Participate in code and design reviews
• Participate in user story creation in collaboration with the team
