Role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our Sec-Ops Detection Engine team. This is a remote position within the US, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering. We are expanding our engineering capacity to accelerate the development of a significant new product offering, and we need a capable builder to deliver high-quality results on schedule. Your journey will begin by mastering our design standards and building robust testing code—spanning unit and integration layers—with a clear path toward becoming a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for key aspects of our detection engine.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ year of professional experience developing with Golang in a production environment
  • 1+ year of AWS experience with a proven track record of shipping production-grade applications
  • Foundational familiarity with data warehousing concepts and file formats such as Parquet or Iceberg

Nice To Haves

  • Significant open-source contributions to one or more Golang projects
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, preferably demonstrated through open-source examples
  • Active participation in advanced coding challenges such as Project Euler

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize continuous learning of our design architecture, industry standards, and testing methods as your primary responsibility
  • Drive software development utilizing Golang to build and scale critical components of our new product offering
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation including architectural proposals, system diagrams, and user guides
  • Engineer comprehensive test suites to ensure the reliability and performance of our evolving detection engine
