Our expertise and emerging technologies include AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. You'll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to grow and make impact by defining the system architecture, owning and implementing specific components, and shaping the overall experience. Together we build highly available, secure, scalable, distributed and event-driven systems. As an SDE, you will contribute to planning, architecture design, implementation, testing, and process improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop new services that enhance security for AWS's global customer base.
• Join a growing team of engineers focused on building transformative security services.
• Set technical standards and shape Global Services Security's overall technical architecture and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across AWS to design, deliver, and refine solutions.
• Work closely with the business team to ensure a clear understanding of the core problem.
• Partner with Product Management, UX Designer, and developers to create user stories and a roadmap.
• Coach and mentor others on the team to support their growth and achievement of career goals.
