Software Development Engineer, Foundational AI Applications

AmazonArlington, VA
69d$129,300 - $223,600

About The Position

Amazon Foundational AI Applications, part of Enterprise Engineering, designs, develops, and operates AI-enhanced business productivity applications that help Amazonians focus on high-value work. We are blazing the trail -- identifying new ways to work that large language models (LLMs) can support -- and building tools that help. We're creating tools that connect to, collect, interpret, and summarize data from internal data sources. We take that knowledge and turn it into summaries and insights that can be used for report writing, trend analysis, and more - solving hard problems that might otherwise require tedious searching, data assembly, retyping and reformatting. Our current key projects include helping Amazonians with creating and maintaining rhythm-of-business documents such as MBRs, QBRs, and OP-1s through AI integrations with productivity tools like project and task management and foundational portfolio management tools used by hundreds of thousands of Amazonians to keep their goals and deliverables tracked and communicated. We're also helping time-constrained Amazonians with tools that allow for audio-based interfaces for reviewing documents and learning about new concepts in engaging ways, when screens aren't advisable. You'll be using the latest LLM integration features (such as implementing MCP) to connect data to our AI engines, and wiring assistant features into the productivity tools Amazonians already use, designing beautiful, seamless, easy-to-use experiences that delight our customers.
