About The Position

The Software Development Engineer for the Product Protection Experience (P2X) team at Amazon is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, distributed software applications that enhance customer experience with product protection plans. This role involves working with modern web and AWS technologies to create reliable and scalable systems, contributing to the overall mission of providing customers with peace of mind regarding their purchases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigate design approaches and prototype new technology with team members.
• Improve customer workflows using modern web development technologies.
• Utilize AWS technologies such as SageMaker, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, CloudWatch, Data Pipelines, and Kinesis.
• Write high-quality distributed system software.
• Develop and maintain key system features.
• Drive best practices and engineering excellence within the team.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules.
• Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members.
