About The Position

The Software Development Engineer role within the AWS Training & Certification team focuses on building innovative learning experiences using AWS technologies. This position involves developing full-stack software tools and systems that enhance customer experiences and solve critical business problems. The engineer will work on creating cloud-native services, maintaining existing systems, and collaborating with various technical and business teams to drive improvements in learning tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large scale web and API applications on AWS focusing on performance, scalability and stability
• Integrate our systems with core Amazon services for e-commerce, identity, security, etc.
• Contribute to ideating new services to support products and initiatives across our AWS Learning Services space
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through software automation
• Collaborate on our technology roadmap, turn visions into reality
• Participate in Agile development.
