About The Position

The Software Development Engineer for AWS Signer will play a crucial role in enabling developers to build secure products by integrating security into their applications. This position focuses on enhancing the code signing process, making it easier for both internal and external developers to manage code securely across various environments, including Cloud, Desktop, Mobile, and IoT. The role is part of a fast-growing service within AWS, dedicated to providing strong security controls for sensitive workloads in the cloud.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of cryptography and computer security.
• Experience with cryptographic systems such as PKI or HSMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the AWS Signer service to improve code signing processes.
• Collaborate with AWS customers and internal developers to secure and authenticate code.
• Work on integrating security features into applications to meet compliance requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new and existing systems.
