About The Position

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, on a mission to develop a large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer. We are looking to hire a software development engineer to work closely with scientists and engineers on the Device team. In this role, you will work to: 1) improve the efficiency & robustness of automated data collection from our quantum devices across the full stack and 2) build software solutions for improving the visualization & reporting of the collected data.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 2+ years of development/programming/scripting language (Python/Java/Bash/Perl) experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams.
• Experience in applying statistical models for large-scale application and building automated analytical systems.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience with web services and REST APIs.
• Experience with machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance.
• Experience in experimental physics or quantum computing.
