About The Position

The Aurora DSQL team at AWS is building revolutionary transactional database technology, delivering innovative customer experiences in the areas of automated operations, global scale, query processing, and storage. This role involves contributing to the design and development of a new cloud database service, specifically working on the storage component of the Aurora DSQL Data Plane. The team focuses on distributed data management for AWS database services, aiming for ultra-fast and highly scalable performance. This includes building and operating large scale, distributed, fault-tolerant data and transaction management solutions using specialized data structures, distributed consensus algorithms, and other advanced technologies. The team is looking for curious individuals interested in contributing to the next generation hyper-scale database service and architecture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
