Position Specific Description NextEra Analytics is seeking an experienced full-stack software development engineer to join our New Product Engineering team in St. Paul. Our SDEs work in a fast-paced environment alongside data and research scientists to deliver innovative forecasting and optimization solutions for the energy industry. Engineers contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle and are encouraged to use the technical stack that best aligns with the problems they're solving. Recent projects have included AWS serverless, Grafana, TimescaleDB, Vue 3, and Python or Rust. We follow an onsite work schedule with teams collaborating in-person. Develop and deliver industry-leading technology solutions to complex energy challenges Code in multiple languages, most recently Python and Vue.js Conduct system testing and create unit tests for new and existing features Write technical documentation for requirements and system architecture Participate in agile ceremonies including requirements refinement, estimation, standups, and retrospectives Collaborate on high-level software design and system architecture Lead small project teams and mentor junior team members Job OverviewThis position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products. Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and module design. This position participates in required product development process ceremonies. Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.
