About The Position

As a Software Development Analyst at Electrify America, you will be integral in our efforts to deploy high-quality software across our entire DC fast charging portfolio. You will play a key role in translating product requests and business requirements into detailed, technical system and software requirements in addition to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical specifications. Close collaboration with various teams to support refinement, development, and testing of new features and improvements for multiple EV charging platforms will be a significant aspect of this role. You will also support in providing release recommendations, creating release notes, and monitoring the rollout of software to all DC fast charging systems across our network.

Requirements

  • 5 years of related systems engineering or software development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software
  • Integration – joining people, processes or systems

  • Experience in electric vehicle charging. Preferably DCFC
  • Experience with agile project management and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver problem resolutions
  • Familiarity working with product management and development teams to refine business requirements into technical software requirements
  • Familiarity with EV charging protocols and standards including J1772, ISO15118, OCPP, OCPI

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management and System Architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical documentation and requirements for multiple DC fast charging platforms.
  • Support SW development throughout the entire process, especially in requirement creation, refinement, and sprint planning.
  • Coordinate production SW rollout process including creation of release notes, coordination of pilot releases, etc.
  • Communicate status of software release and deliverables to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Collaborate with testing and validation teams to design test cases and ensure traceability with technical requirements.
  • Support in analysis of quality issues prior to development.
