About the position
The Software Developer position at Luxoft USA, Inc. involves developing and maintaining software solutions, with a focus on Video Clipping and Notifications Services (VCNS). The role requires a combination of software development skills and the ability to support existing applications while ensuring security, quality, and performance standards are met. The position allows for telecommuting but may require travel to client worksites across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Software development using Java, Go, Javascript, Python, SQL, and Bash.
- Design and implementation of new software solutions.
- Maintenance of existing applications and production support.
- Identify and resolve functional and logical issues during development.
- Support Video Clipping and Notifications Services (VCNS).
- Develop new features for VCNS while adhering to security, quality, and performance requirements.
- Manage VCNS servers and apply security patches and updates to operating systems and libraries.
- Oversee OS upgrades, configuration of new servers, and decommissioning of old servers.
- Perform periodic tests on VCNS and prepare scripts for testing.
Requirements
- Two (2) years' experience as a software developer or software engineer.
- Experience in software development, release, and production support.
- Maintenance of existing applications.
- Proficiency with tools such as AWS, Spring, JavaEE, SOAP and REST APIs, Oracle DB, Couchbase, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker, Git, Kubernetes, Go, and Python.
