About The Position

The Software Developer at IMG is responsible for designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications and components. This role supports and installs software applications while utilizing established development tools and guidelines, primarily focusing on technologies such as PowerBuilder, Cobol, C#, ASP.NET, and Angular. The position offers opportunities for growth and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 4-5+ years of Software Development experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the full .NET software development lifecycle, especially in Visual Studio, frameworks like WCF, ASP.NET Web API, SOAP, RESTful Services, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to consult and communicate closely with management, supervisors, senior team members, and potentially external teams.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work and consult with colleagues as well as individually.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic team environment.
  • Good understanding of debugging tools and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Agile Application Development and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience using Source Control tools such as Git, Subversion, or TFS.
  • Experience working in a ticketing system such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TFS.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications and components.
  • Works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions and maintains documentation of process flow.
  • Utilizes established development tools, guidelines, and conventions including ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and C#.
  • Designs, codes, and tests new Windows and web software applications.
  • Enhances existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
  • Maintains existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
  • Works closely with guidance from senior team members to grow skillsets.
