About The Position

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Software Developer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

Requirements

  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to pass CI Poly.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • 5+ years of related software development experience.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert with at least one language and desire good experience with several others (Python, React, Java, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes.
  • Experience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus.
  • Experience with SQL data stores.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team.
  • Experience with deploying to on prem/data center infrastructure.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basis.
  • US Citizenship Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing containers intended to run on the RedHat Openshift Container Platform.
  • Experience with ElasticSearch.
  • Front-end development skills (HTML/CSS/Sass/Less/JavaScript)
  • Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform)

Responsibilities

  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
  • Analyzes user/business software system requirements and determines needs.
  • Determines the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time.
  • Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establishes and Improves system monitoring while maintaining established security protocols within development, test, and production systems.
  • Works under the guidance of the Scrum Master to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery.
  • Provides progress updates to Scrum Master and the team to ensure the management of any delivery risks or concerns.
  • Works with the team to plan future sprints, define stories and estimate efforts.
  • Works on a range of projects involving the implementation of new and existing systems, solutions, and processes.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains application code on various networks.
  • Contributes in all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Writes well designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Ensures designs are in compliance with specifications.
  • Recommends changes to improve established application processes.
  • Prepares and produces releases of software components.
  • Writes automated unit test cases and evaluation code quality using automated tools.
  • Writes automated integration test cases and resolves issues.
  • Supports formal testing and resolves test defects.
  • Provides technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions.
  • Aligns to the customer’s strategies.
  • Utilizes the customer’s enterprise DevSecOps pipeline.
