About The Position

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications using Spring Framework and Angular, enhancing scalability and user experience. You will optimize high-volume data operations with Spring Batch and Talend ETL, ensuring accurate financial reporting and accruals. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations, minimizing service disruptions, and maintaining compliance, all while working in a collaborative, Agile environment. This role reports to the Manager of IT Software Development. Note: We are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S., now and in the future, without sponsorship. As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with business partners and internal teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You will design, develop, test, and deploy complex applications, guide junior team members, and contribute to the overall architecture and system enhancements. Your expertise in SQL and database management will ensure the integrity of our data, while your project leadership skills will help deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in business programming.
  • Strong system design and analysis skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in coding tools and platforms, including:
  • Languages: Java, PL/SQL, Microsoft PowerShell, Node.js, Angular, React.js
  • Frameworks: Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Express.js
  • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB
  • Application Platforms: WebSphere, Microsoft SharePoint
  • Build Tool: Maven, Griddle
  • Source Code Management: GitHub, Gitlab
  • CI/CD: Good understanding of DevOps and some experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of software selection, implementation, and project management techniques.
  • Up-to-date with technical trends to inform strategic development decisions.
  • Strong understanding of system development methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, JMeter, BlazeMeter, Cucumber

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management, business departments, and partners to identify end-user requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy complex software programs, considering system limitations and performance standards.
  • Maintain and support production operations for large, multi-subsystem systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts and programmers.
  • Lead projects or enhancements, including planning, scheduling, testing, and approving deployments.
  • Recommend process and performance improvements to management.
  • Participate in developing and customizing business systems infrastructure and IT standards.
  • Perform day-to-day application development tasks in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
