As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and driven Software Engineer to join our team. Job Summary: As a Software Developer at WealthCounsel, you will have the chance to collaborate closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to create high-quality software applications that meet client needs. You will help with architecting, designing, and implementing moderately complex software systems.

Requirements

Strong skills in engineering/programming, analytical/diagnostic/troubleshooting, web technology, and programming methodology
Solid understanding of systems and subsystems
Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable software, computer languages, and code to perform the responsibilities of the role
Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies and programming languages
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3+ years of equivalent work experience in software development, ideally with expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, Python or other programming languages
Proven track record of delivering complex software solutions
Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical challenges.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts
Experience with agile methodologies, version control systems (e.g., Git), and code review processes
Experience working with SQL and NoSql Databases

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
Experience in developing AWS native applications

Responsibilities

Participate in the design and architecture of software solutions that align with project requirements and business goals.
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code using a variety of programming languages and technologies, such as JavaScript, Vue.js, and XQuery, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Work closely with a variety of team members to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and thoroughly tested software applications.
Conduct thorough code reviews, offering feedback and promoting best practices to elevate the team's coding standards.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve development processes.
