In this role, you will work closely with clinical, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless data interoperability between internal and third-party health systems. Your expertise will help transform clinical and operational workflows into robust technical integration solutions. This will be a full-time contract and hybrid onsite in Trenton, NJ.

  • Develop and maintain HL7 v2 and FHIR-based integration pipelines
  • Implement and support RESTful FHIR APIs for internal and external use
  • Enable bi-directional data exchange with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment and monitoring of integrations
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security protocols (e.g., HIPAA)
  • 3+ years of software development experience (Python preferred)
  • 2+ years working with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR and HL7 v2)
  • Strong experience with Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
  • Proficient in RESTful API development and integration
  • Experience parsing and generating JSON, XML, HL7 v2 messages
  • Database skills: SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
  • Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10
  • Hands-on experience with integration tools (e.g., Rhapsody)
