About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Software Developer to be a part of CFTC Data Engineering and Architecture team. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can't be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.This position is Hybrid, Must be local to the CFTC DC office, able to work in the office 3 days a week What you will do: Design and develop cloud-native solutions. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment using current cloud capabilities. Develop Databases, Data Warehouses and the ETL applications and infrastructure necessary to populate them. Troubleshooting and performance tuning services in development, test and production environments Maintain document and diagram cloud solutions, gathering requirements to support the platform and systems Extend, bug fix and maintain code to meet user requirements/issues. Maintain Stored-procedures, Views, and SSIS packages to address users' requests and concerns. Do root-cause analysis for users' questions/concerns. Communicate with business user groups and stakeholders to understand requirements, present work and trouble shoot. Critical thinker with ability to connect the dots of technical work to big picture plan.

Requirements

  • 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years of experience with a HS Degree/Diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Software Development.
  • Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift
  • Experience with Sql Server Integration Services
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience communicating with business users and stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to connect the dots of technical work to big picture plan.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Federal or Government contracting and consulting experience is a plus.
  • AWS Cloud Certifications
