The Opportunity: As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application’s functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you use your operations and maintenance skills to ensure that things run smoothly. As a software sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll have an operational impact from day one. With a team of professionals, you’ll maintain applications and keep systems working. You and your team will use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain the applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements. Requirements

Experience with programming in Python and C
Experience in web development using HTML and JavaScript
Experience using React frameworks
Experience using Docker
Ability to apply critical and analytic thinking to improve and troubleshoot code
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods, or 12+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with applying cloud computing in AWS to develop and deploy more efficient, secure, and cost-effective software
Experience with object-oriented design (OOD) to develop flexible and maintainable programs
Experience with database design, SQL, and relational databases
Knowledge of database design principles
Knowledge of web standards, protocols, frameworks, and full-stack development
