Software Developer, Python - Security Clearance Required
About The Position
ICF is seeking a Software Developer to be part of a talented, technical, and dynamic team on-site in Adelphi, MD. Our team excels in the delivery of technical competency and capabilities in dynamic resource constrained environments. This role will support development and evaluation of machine learning (ML) algorithms for resource constrained devices such as Unmanned Air/Ground Vehicles (UAV/UGV) toward realizing efficient and effective Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) in tactical environments. This work will include the development, optimization, and integration of containerized ISR applications’ efficient, agile operation in dynamic, resource constrained, tactical environments. Key Responsibilities: Development of software using DevOps best practices within a team of software and hardware engineers. Using containerization technologies, such as Docker, to configure and deploy ISR applications. Documenting and publishing the results of tests in technical reports. Delivering progress updates, insights, and deliverables in technical briefings and forums. Working in a multi-team development project.
Requirements
- Active US Government issued Security clearance
- Due to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be DoD 8570 compliant and maintain required certification for an IAT I level.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Science, Information Science, or Mathematics.
- Position requires a minimum of 6 years of research or technical experience in a scientific or technical fields relevant to requirements.
- 2 years of experience using Python and Git.
- At least 1 year of experience with containerized application deployment using Kubernetes or Docker.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience writing code to interact with databases.
- 1 year of experience working inside Linux Environments.
- Ability to analyze, document, and publish technical reports based on testing is required.
- Demonstrated, hands on experience with software development best practices included but not limited to parallel, distributed and multi-threaded programming, networked application development, CPU+GPU application development.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with agile programming techniques, code reviews, and delivering contributions in an impactful way.
- Solid understanding of core network and CPU/GPU technologies and concepts.
