About The Position

We are seeking a Software Developer (Power Platform) with demonstrated experience in data analytics and business process automation to support U.S. Air Force sustainment and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate blends a working level knowledge of software development, data science, and a range of RPA and data visualization tools. This position supports the development of technical solutions that streamline business processes, aggregate, cleanse, and visualize data, and provide user-friendly interfaces to interact with the data. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Programming, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate) software for automation, documentation, and reporting
  • Ability to acquire a US government clearance (Secret or higher) required. Must be a US citizen.
  • Familiarity with RPA technologies like Power Platform and UIPath
  • Proficiency in coding languages including SQL, Python, R, and VBA
  • Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience working with a variety of data structures like SQL Server, Advana/BLADE, Dataverse, and SharePoint

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Air Force depot operations
  • Current or ability to acquire a Top Secret US government clearance

Responsibilities

  • Able to assist in all phases of software solution development including functional requirements gathering, data architecture, interface development, testing, and documentation
  • Able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences on a recurring basis
  • Identify solution alternatives and provide recommendations on best tools to meet functional requirements
  • Build data pipelines from existing Air Force systems
  • Build efficient and well structured databases to manage internal client data
  • Cleanse, combine, and analyze large data sets to provide actionable insights
  • Participate in working groups and process improvement teams
  • Develop tools, policies, and procedures to provide the capabilities required for AFSC’s enterprise-level management of the supply chain and depot operations
