As a Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, test, and support high-quality systems and projects that drive business success. You’ll analyze technical ideas for feasibility, provide reliable work estimates, modernize existing codebases, and validate system performance through thorough testing. You’ll also contribute to integration and deployment strategies, maintain documentation, and take on special projects that advance departmental goals.   • Conduct high level technical analysis of ideas to determine feasibility and approach.
  • Provide accurate work estimates, a critical component for building project timelines and establishing delivery commitments.
  • Maintenance and migration of existing code basis to newer platforms.
  • Execute test cases, verifying results to expected outcomes prior to release of code for business or client acceptance testing.
  • Provide input into integration, implementation and deployment content and strategies, maintaining operating manuals and system documentation as necessary.
  • Special projects, tasks or assignments, as required, to ensure the success of the Department.
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Solid knowledge of programming, testing & deployment tools, techniques, and languages applicable to the products or systems with which they work.
  • Strong knowledge of application analysis and design methodologies, including database concepts.
  • Practical experience with: Perl, Linux, Shell scripting, C.
  • Working knowledge of Precisely Products (StreamWeaver, Mailstream Plus, Verimove, Finalist), Python, and knowledgebase on AFP and PDF print formatting would be a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the software development project life cycle and AGILE methodology.
