We are seeking Seniors or Grad students graduating in May or June 2026. See Yourself as a Software Developer Intern This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in broad exposure to a function/department within our organization. We are seeking students who are interested in long term career opportunities with Radian after graduation. This internship provides hands-on experience in software development, system operations, and collaborative project work. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, contribute to real-world projects, and strengthen both technical and professional skills in a fast-paced environment. The specific responsibilities of the internship will be based on candidate’s background, as well as with work and projects currently within the department.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, C, or similar).
  • Familiarity with basic Linux commands.
  • Exposure to SAS for data analysis.
  • Understanding of databases (SQL or similar).
  • Experience with configuration tasks (software/system setup, environment configuration).
  • Knowledge of GIT for version control.
  • Awareness of CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • MUST be graduating May or June 2026!

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Use basic programming skills to write and maintain code.
  • Apply Linux commands for file management, system navigation, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with SAS for data analysis and reporting.
  • Support database operations including querying, updating, and maintaining records.
  • Participate in configuration tasks to set up environments and applications.
  • Collaborate with the team using GIT for version control and code management.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and follow Agile practices.
  • Document processes, prepare reports, and share knowledge with peers.
