About The Position

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Software Developer. This position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division's safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability objectives; managing the functionality, availability and performance of the purchased and custom developed applications that service the business; performing project/task management for application development changes; responsible for design and development of changes or additions to applications; take a lead role in problem solving application problems, programming and a support role in infrastructure problems. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or three years of related work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience of a relational database and structured query language, such as PL/SQL, TSQL.
• Experience with .Net C# application development and configuring purchased software packages supporting Order to Cash, Demand to Supply, and Source to Pay value streams.
• Ability to learn and support custom ERP system, MES system, EDI and purchased software.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using ADO.
• Experience working in manufacturing industry.
