About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Developer, Assoicate to join our team! This position is Hybrid, but may require 3 days on site in Charlottesville, VA. In this role you will get to: What You'll Be Doing: Conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate technologies Develop and maintain software architecture, and make recommendations for improvement Conduct hands-on programming using Java, Python, NodeJS, TypeScript Desire to write highly efficient multithreaded code Develop, compile, debug, test, deploy, document, and implement programs for new and existing systems (COTS / GOTS / Proprietary) Interface and communicate with other development teams for collaboration and integration efforts What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another related field. (Four years of additional work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.) 1+ years of professional experience developing in Java, NodeJS, Python, or TypeScript 1+ years of experience working with Linux systems Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Familiarity with AWS and Cloud Service Providers Familiarity with automated testing tools such as JEST, JUnit, Cypress Familiarity with Agile Processes Familiarity with CI/CD through Gitlab (preferred) or other platforms Ability to work in an operationally-driven environment with fluid requirements depending on operational need Familiarity with virtualized environments and distributed/parallel systems Familiarity with Docker Experience seeing a software project through from concept to deployment/maintenance Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another related field. (Four years of additional work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.)
1+ years of professional experience developing in Java, NodeJS, Python, or TypeScript
1+ years of experience working with Linux systems
Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
