About The Position

The team works on a wide range of technologies that are central to the Oracle database and is at the forefront of database technology innovation. Examples of these include the core transaction technologies that underpin the functioning of the database such as locking, multi-version concurrency control (MVCC), distributed transactions and commit coordination protocols. We also provide transactions capability for Oracle’s superfast columnar store for analytics as well for its HNSW AI vector index. We also work on applied AI, JSON technologies such as JSON Relational Duality ( https://www.oracle.com/database/json-relational-duality/ ), network protocol technologies, and are currently working on a major database engine effort. The team also publishes regularly in journals like SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, and members of the team hold 100+ patents. We are looking for highly motivated systems engineers who can make a significant difference. If you have a strong background in systems engineering we would love to talk to you.
