About The Position

As a Senior Principal Engineer, you will be working closely with software architects and engineers from the various cloud service teams to build secure services and infrastructure that are fundamentally sound and efficient. Your influence over the design of the full system architecture is critical. You should be familiar with all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack; while having a deep knowledge in a few. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for solving complex problems of complex systems is a must. Requirements

  • BS or MS degree
  • 10 or more years of software engineering or related experience
  • Familiar with all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack; while having a deep knowledge in a few.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for solving complex problems of complex systems
  • Value simplicity and usability as well as security
  • Work comfortably in a collaborative, high-paced, agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Define specifications for significant new projects and design & develop software according to those specifications.
  • Perform architectural and drive software development tasks associated with the designing, developing, scale test and operational-ready software applications or operating systems.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products, services, and processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
  • Recommending and justifying major changes to existing products/services/processes will be a key aspect of this role.
