About The Position

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8+ years of professional software development experience or 8 + years with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. Strong technical skills with a proven record of designing and developing cloud-scale systems, highly available distributed systems, or databases. Deep knowledge of database internals, database management, and life cycle management is a huge plus. Experience with Oracle, Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, InnoDB, PolarDB, and TaurusDB will not hurt. Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, object-oriented design Proficiency in developing large production projects written in modern Java, Scala, Go. Requirements

• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
• 10+ years of software engineering or related experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience or 8 + years with an advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Strong technical skills with a proven record of designing and developing cloud-scale systems, highly available distributed systems, or databases.
• Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, object-oriented design
• Proficiency in developing large production projects written in modern Java, Scala, Go.
• Strong REST API development skills

Nice To Haves

• Deep knowledge of database internals, database management, and life cycle management is a huge plus.
