We are seeking a strong engineer to join our team which is focused on building and maintaining a scalable software control platform for Compute Infrastructure. Major focus areas of software maintained by the team include: Creating and maintaining highly available APIs for launching and managing Compute resources with highly complex back-end asynchronous components. Designing and implementing highly scalable systems capable of functioning across numerous regions in a worldwide cloud footprint. Security-first design and deep integration with the OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework. You and members of the team will be called upon to solve many diverse scaling, security, efficiency, and automation problems through robust architectural decisions and customer-first design. You will deliver the solutions that directly contribute to the success of our customers.lop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

  • You will be responsible for a wide-ranging set of tasks within the software development space.
  • These range from participating in high-level architectural discussions to feature implementation and DevOps automation.
  • This role is, fundamentally, a back-end web service development role with a high emphasis on thorough design, scalability, and high availability.
  • The features you design and implement will be extremely critical to internal and external customers.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one major programming language
  • Knowledge of a scripting language
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Linux shell scripting -- bash)
  • A strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals
  • Knowledge of database fundamentals
  • Knowledge of major architectural patterns and principles
  • Skills in debugging and testing complex systems

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
