Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to
deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative SDE's which will be
instrumental in establishing and growing our presence in the region, while
developing critical commerce systems for Amazon Leo's global operations.

Export Control Requirement:

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop software applications and services for
an advanced global telecom service? This role is for a SDE who will design,
build, and maintain components and services of Amazon Leo's Commerce Systems and
interact with the core e-commerce and Amazon Leo network teams.

Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the
global customer lifecycle for telecom commerce services; for example, identity
and account management, subscriber management services, user provisioning,
billing and payments, customer and technical support tools, offer management
tools, and customer metrics and analytics.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including experience,
qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in overall product strategy and UI presentation.
• Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures.
• Partners with AWS, retail e-commerce, networking, and security engineering teams.
• Be involved in every aspect of the UI for new features – from idea generation, exploring different design options, and technical design through software development using the latest technologies and design patterns.
• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to ensure the best experience for our customers.
