About The Position

TEKsystems is partnering with a client in Seattle to hire an expert-level engineer who will design, develop, test, and deliver software for advanced drone systems using multi‑threaded programming in C/C++ and Python within Linux and RTOS environments. This role focuses on embedded applications, sensor integration, and hands‑on ownership of verification and validation activities, including test strategy development, execution, and results reporting. The engineer will work on complex sensing systems, produce clear and comprehensive documentation, and operate independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must hold a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing, embedded systems, Linux development, and real‑time systems. Experience in robotics, navigation, sensor integration, or AWS pipeline development is a plus, and industry backgrounds such as aerospace, automotive, or robotics are strongly preferred.

Requirements
