About The Position

Join the TCX Content Automations team and help millions of AWS customers access accurate, timely technical documentation. We build and maintain automated systems that transform internal data sources into published AWS documentation, eliminating manual bottlenecks while maintaining the highest quality standards. What You'll Do: - Design and develop scalable content automation pipelines that extract data from upstream sources (APIs, S3 buckets, Git repos, service specifications) and publish to docs.aws.amazon.com - Build and maintain critical automations including CloudFormation resource references, IAM policies, service quotas, regions/endpoints, AWS Config rules, localization infrastructure, etc. - Create reusable platform components that make each new automation easier to deliver and support - Collaborate with writers, service teams, product management, and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and ensure data quality - Own operational excellence for production systems serving documentation to millions of customers daily What We're Looking For: - Strong software development skills with experience in building data pipelines and automation systems - Ability to work with diverse data sources and transform them into customer-facing content across multiple content systems - Commitment to operational excellence, quality, and customer obsession - Passion for solving complex problems that directly impact customer experience Impact: Your work will ensure AWS customers have access to accurate, up-to-date documentation for hundreds of AWS services

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop content automation systems that extract data from internal sources (APIs, S3 buckets, Git repos, service specifications, etc.) and publish to AWS documentation
  • Build and maintain production content automations including CloudFormation resources, IAM managed policies, service quotas, regions/endpoints, AWS Config rules, localization, and more
  • Create reusable platform components and tools that standardize automation development and reduce delivery time for new projects
  • Ensure operational excellence by monitoring system health, responding to on-call incidents, and maintaining high availability for documentation publishing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including writers, service teams, and product managers to identify automation opportunities and validate data quality
  • Own the full software development lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
  • Integrate with TCX build systems to ensure automated content publishes correctly across all AWS documentation properties
  • Implement quality controls and validation to ensure published content meets TCX standards and accurately reflects source data
  • Participate in team on-call rotation to support production systems serving millions of customers
  • Drive continuous improvement by learning from each automation project and contributing to team processes and best practices
