About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Dev Engineer III to drive the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. The role involves gathering business and functional requirements from customers and translating them into technical specifications to build robust and scalable solutions. The engineer will serve as a technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle, from scoping and planning to design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance. Responsibilities also include providing design reviews for other engineers and managing resources on multiple technical projects to ensure alignment with technology and business goals.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• One year of experience in providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• One year of experience in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using Object Oriented Design, distributed programming, and C#, C++, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
• Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal customers and end-users.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications to build robust, scalable, supportable solutions.
• Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues.
• Manage resources on multiple technical projects and ensure schedules, milestones, and priorities are compatible with technology and business goals.
