Prime Air is seeking an experienced Software Engineer who combines superb
technical, research, and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to
get the right things done quickly and effectively.

You will join the Perception team which applies AI-based solutions to improve
safety, customer experience, and safety of the product. You will work closely
with applied scientists and engineers from diverse technical backgrounds.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and analytics techniques experience
• Master's degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design/Develop/Test data infrastructure to support drone delivery operations and drone SW/algorithm development.
• Gather and translate customer requirements into technical requirements and drive discussions on prioritization and timeline.
• Influence and drive operational excellence best practices.
• Leverage large datasets and build next-generation training workflows using latest machine learning frameworks to solve the most challenging problems in autonomous aviation.
