About The Position

As the Software Delivery Engineer reporting to the Director of the Software Delivery team, you will be a key member of the Software team. You will be responsible for traveling to client sites and working with DCS’s clients to gather requirements and implement DCS’s Warehouse Execution System (WES) Software. You will be a contributor and project leader in this role. DCS will appreciate your reliability, your creativity, your problem-solving approach, your thirst for learning, and your servant leadership. Most of all we will appreciate that we can count on you to get things done. In this role, you will: Work with client and suppliers to implement DCS software solutions in client distribution centers. Travel to client sites for configuration and commissioning of the software solution. Anticipated level of travel is 60% - 75%. Provide end user training to clients using the DCS software solution. Help develop standards and support integrating with PLC-based controls systems. Work closely with Software development team to address and remediate issues found during internal QA and onsite commissioning. Work with the greater material handling project leadership to provide software status updates and input to testing milestones. Support a culture of technical innovation and continuous learning in the latest technologies, industry news and trends. Represent the Software department with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

  • You have experience working with material handling equipment/software.
  • You have experience implementing software solutions for clients.
  • You are comfortable working with the Linux command line to troubleshoot application issues.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • You have general knowledge of computer networking (TCP/IP) to assist with troubleshooting issues between software applications.
  • You are capable and willing to fill necessary software roles (QA, Implementor, Support, IT).
  • You’re able to deliver results in fast-paced and high-stress environments.
  • You are an enabler and enhancer of our company culture.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you’re able to work well with clients, management, and multidiscipline teams.
  • You’re a self-motivated performer who can execute with minimum supervision and guidance.
  • You’re a creative problem-solver who can manage multiple complex tasks and projects at a time.
  • You are proficient in MS Office products, API Tools such as Postman, and software project management suites such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
