About The Position

As a Software Consulting Technical Leader, you'll be a key player in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues that arise between AppDynamics software and a wide variety of system environments. Your role goes beyond traditional support-you'll develop tools, educate teammates, and improve product stability while ensuring customers receive the highest level of technical guidance. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL or CentOS preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud environment and Kubernetes
  • Strong skills in writing and executing basic SQL queries
  • Skilled in identifying root causes by analyzing logs, thread dumps, and Wireshark captures

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Prior experience in customer-facing
  • Ability to troubleshoot Java TLS, JVM internals, networking, and database issues
  • Ability to read and understand one programming language
  • Bash/Python scripting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document complex interactions between AppDynamics software and underlying systems (OS, hardware, storage, networking, TLS, databases)
  • Provide customers with guidance on sizing and configuration best practices for AppDynamics platform components
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding installation, configuration, and operation of AppDynamics products
  • Build and enhance internal tools to automate support processes and increase efficiency
  • Mentor team members to reduce technical gaps and lead escalations requiring senior expertise
  • Perform root cause analysis, collaborate with development to report bugs, and lead efforts to enhance product quality and reduce recurring issues

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
  • For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
