Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Configuration Analyst / Principal Software Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. This role may be filled at the Base OR Principal level based on the listed qualifications, below. In this role, the successful candidate will support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to engineering tools development. The candidate shall work under the guidance of the Systems Engineering Manager to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior CAD experience
  • Understanding of digital threading principles and requirements
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter and NX (or equivalent PDM/PLM applications)
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering 'V' model
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of design, analysis and/or engineering tools development
  • Professional certifications
  • Experience providing technical support for the development, testing, and implementation of Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM) (Teamcenter)
  • Experience supporting CPLM user issue resolutions and triage/prioritize impact of user issues in CPLM
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and recommendations
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic working environment

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the maturation of the engineering digital thread
  • Supporting the development of engineering PLM tools and processes
  • Supporting the capture of PLM requirements for stakeholders
  • Documenting stakeholder use cases
  • Validation and testing of PLM tool functionality
  • Directly supporting the Systems Engineering Manager on a daily basis
  • Creating training/best practice documentation
