About The Position

The Software Asset Analyst plays a crucial role in managing software assets within the organization. Reporting to the IT Asset Manager, this position focuses on aligning business objectives with IT Asset Management best practices to optimize software investments and mitigate legal and compliance risks throughout the software asset lifecycle. The analyst provides support to internal business customers in procurement workflows and educates them on company policies related to software usage, ensuring compliance and governance.

Requirements

• Experience in IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess software licensing costs and compliance risks.
• Excellent communication skills to educate and assist internal customers.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with software licensing agreements and compliance regulations.
• Experience with procurement workflows and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal business customers with software acquisition/renewal requests by ensuring complete and accurate information and facilitating the required reviews and approval tasks.
• Act as IT liaison to ensure compliance with all IT policies and procedures regarding the appropriate use of hardware and software.
• Ensure that all parties understand and adhere to legal requirements for using software.
