About The Position

The Software Architect V position involves participating in the identification, evaluation, and development of IT solutions by providing technical expertise and oversight of prototypes and proofs of concepts. The role requires analyzing business scenarios to identify opportunities for innovative solutions and improvements, as well as designing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. The architect will co-create a transparent domain architecture strategy and roadmap, working closely with Enterprise Architecture (EA) to define long-term architecture vision and integration patterns. The position also includes creating and owning Solution Architecture documentation, leading specialist resources on technical issues, and managing the full product lifecycle including release management.

Requirements

• Proven experience of creating architecture designs using a formal architecture framework methodology.
• Experience in AWS Cloud computing including security and application development concepts.
• Experience in data concepts such as data management, Data Lake & data mesh.
• Experience with R&D/Medical & Scientific processes and delivering technical solutions.
• Familiarity with information models and industry data standards.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Experience with SAFe or any other lean-agile framework is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Negotiation skills and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the identification, evaluation, and development of IT solutions.
• Analyzes business scenarios and identifies opportunities for innovative solutions.
• Provides technical expertise in designing and developing cost-effective systems.
• Designs conceptual models to support the systems' landscape.
• Co-creates domain architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Works closely with EA on long-term architecture vision and integration patterns.
• Creates and owns Solution Architecture documentation.
• Leads specialist resources on technical issues and provides detailed analysis.
• Works closely with the technical team to oversee technical development.
• Identifies opportunities to create additional value and improve business outcomes.
• Manages the full product lifecycle including release management.
• Collaborates with other Solution Architects and IT functions.
• Ensures solutions are architecturally consistent and meet customer requirements.
• Supports Domain Head in prioritization and strategic planning.
• Manages Product Backlog including new investments and change-requests.
