About The Position
Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Software Applications Support Administrator Intern. Virginia Housing’s ITS department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Business Application Administration team. This important role will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of application support. This includes day-to-day operational work (incidents and requests, managing user access) to working with business partners to evaluate and implement new software products. The team’s broad scope provides opportunities to work with many different technical and business areas. Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s premier housing finance agencies. We gladly accept undergraduate students, graduate students, trade school students, individuals exiting the military, military spouses, and career-transitioning professionals. This is a hybrid (in-person & remote) position reporting to our Richmond VA office. Interns can work up to 20 hours per week (September-May) and up to 40 hours per week during the Summer months (June -August). Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A field of study, academic background, or demonstrated interest in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related study.
- Interest and passion for working in public service.
- Experience with software application support.
- Experience using an IT ticketing system.
- Some experience working in a professional setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
