The Software Applications Developer II position is responsible for assisting the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center (CARC) scientists with skills that they will be able to focus on running models, analyzing data, and writing manuscripts. The software programming skills of this position are needed for the researchers to help process extensive research data sets, hydrology, soils, greenhouse other natural resources, and farm operations. There is a need for computing skills to streamline data integration throughout the research operations. This position will also responsible for developing new web applications, smart-devices apps, and updating existing software applications. This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding. The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
