As a Software Application Developer, within our Information Technology Services Department, you will: Provide day-to-day technical support for enterprise applications, especially Workday HCM modules (such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation). Troubleshoot and analyze application issues, collaborating with senior team members to recommend and implement effective solutions. Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining customized Workday Extend applications (training provided). Help monitor production environments, support issue resolution, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders/customers. Support system testing, configuration updates, and user training to improve system performance and usability. Collaborate with teams across HR, IT, and business units to gather requirements and support system enhancements. Stay up to date on Workday platform updates and industry best practices. Show curiosity and initiative in learning new tools, systems, and processes. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business & Technology Management, or a related field-or have equivalent experience through internships or entry-level roles. Have experience in application development, or relevant technical roles. Experience with development concepts or languages like Python, C++, SQL, Java, or .NET. Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with knowledge and experience in the software development lifecycle. Communicate effectively with both technical teams and end users. Are familiar with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status, as required to access APL facilities and networks, subject to applicable laws. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you... Experience supporting Human Resource applications, particularly Workday. Exposure to or curiosity about Workday Studio, Extend, Prism, APIs (REST/SOAP), or other HRIS platforms.
