The Behavioral and Social Sciences Division has openings to teach in-person and hybrid sections of Sociology at Jefferson Community and Technical College on the Downtown and Southwest campuses.
Teach courses (SOC101; Introduction to Sociology: 3 Credit hours)
Maintain office hours
Participate in student success activities
Utilize a learning management system such as Blackboard
Conduct classes that may meet once or twice a week for approximately 90 minutes ranging from 9am to 8pm
Must have 18 graduate hours in Sociology (SOC)
Must have a Master's degree or a Master's degree in Sociology
Exhibit digital literacy
Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Blackboard
Good attendance record
Demonstrated experience in teaching and student engagement
Ability to work effectively in an academic environment making frequent contact with students, faculty, staff, and the public
