Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. This grant-funded program provides intensive, community-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families. The Social Worker will play a key role in providing both clinical and case management services in a mobile, community-based setting, ensuring trauma-informed, person-centered care for youth with complex mental health and substance use needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work required.
  • Current New York State Licensure/Certification as LMSW or LCSW required.
  • Experience working in a hospital or community health agency preferred.
  • Prior experience with children, adolescents, and families strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience treating co-occurring substance use and mental illness required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and documentation standards.
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical and case management services in both community and mobile crisis team settings.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to youth and their families.
  • Deliver integrated care for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with NYS Mental Hygiene regulations and RUMC standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, community agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to support coordinated care.
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and agency trainings; incorporate feedback into practice.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, including outreach, productivity, and risk management requirements.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by program leadership.
