About The Position

We’re excited to host an Onsite Interview Day on February 11 for the Social Worker role within our JASAChat program. Candidates whose applications are selected will have the opportunity to interview directly with the hiring manager. SCHEDULE & HOURS Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Hours Per Week: 35 Work Arrangement: Hybrid position (combination of in-office and remote work) ABOUT JASACHAT JASAChat is a virtual visiting program designed to reduce social isolation and loneliness among older adults by fostering meaningful connections with trained, multigenerational volunteers. The program promotes companionship, emotional well-being, and engagement through supportive, structured matches. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Social Worker with JASAChat, you will serve as a key member of the program team and a thought partner to the Program Director. You will support client and volunteer matches, provide case assistance, and collaborate across the agency to ensure positive, impactful experiences for all participants.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university
  • Professional experience working with older adults, including individuals with memory impairment and/or caregivers
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, mission-driven team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional maturity, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to JASA’s mission and values
  • Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with electronic client record systems preferred
  • Ability to travel via mass transit
  • Understanding and appreciation of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and individual values in delivering culturally responsive services

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with program development, data reporting, and analytics preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic client record systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Engage, enroll, and provide ongoing case assistance to JASAChat client participants
  • Support client and volunteer matches through case assistance, mediation, and resource coordination
  • Conduct pre- and post-program surveys with client participants
  • Maintain accurate documentation of match activity in the electronic client record system
  • Engage, support, and communicate with multigenerational volunteers
  • Plan and facilitate match engagement activities, events, and special projects
  • Collaborate with program staff, service providers, and JASA’s Development team to enhance participant experiences
  • Represent the JASAChat program at internal meetings, community events, and external partner engagements
  • Assist with planning and leading monthly volunteer trainings, as well as additional workshops throughout the year
  • Participate in in-person and virtual outreach, meetings, and partner events as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
